I am Melissa A. Mitchell, a self-taught artist, designer, visionary, and CEO of Abeille Creations. To see my work not only on the walls of galleries and in the streets of Atlanta, but now inside the iconic halls of Bloomingdale’s, is a moment that words can barely contain. This opportunity is more than fashion, it is the living testimony of faith, surrender, and divine timing.
For years, I have prayed, prepared, and poured into my art so that when the call came, I would be ready. This collection is the fruit of that labor. It is the proof that cultivating genuine relationships, staying true to my vision, and trusting the process can open doors that once felt unimaginable. As a Black woman artist, this moment affirms that our stories, our colors, and our creativity belong on the global stage.
This year has been a season of surrender, of releasing control and choosing faith over fear. Out of that surrender, this collection was born. From the vibrant shirts and headbands to the luxury totes, duffle bags, and scarves, every piece carries the spirit of resilience, culture, and answered prayer. Each design is not just something to wear, but a piece of my story, one that says abundance is possible, and dreams are within reach.
As you step into the immersive art experience at Bloomingdale’s, know that you are walking into more than a pop-up or a store display—you are walking into a manifested dream. Every brushstroke, every color, and every detail was created with intention: to inspire you to dream boldly, live fully, and embrace your own journey of faith.
If you take nothing else from this moment, let it be this: preparation and patience pave the way for purpose. Today, I stand as living proof that with faith, creativity, and divine alignment, your “someday” can become today. Thank you for being a part of this chapter in my story.
