From the yard to the governor's office… HBCU excellence looks good on Georgia!

There are some moments that deserve more than applause. They deserve a whole celebration, a marching band, a homecoming halftime show, and maybe even a little stroll across the yard!

And for this third-generation HBCU graduate, this one is especially personal.

Introducing "My Governor Is an HBCU Grad," a bold statement tee celebrating the brilliance, leadership, legacy, and undeniable influence of Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

Inspired by the November 3, 2026 elections and the excitement surrounding Keisha Lance Bottoms, a proud graduate of Florida A&M University, this design is about more than politics.

It's about representation. It's about possibility. And it's about what happens when institutions built to educate generations of Black excellence continue shaping the future of this country.

As a proud third-generation Florida A&M University Rattler, with more than 50 FAMU graduates in my family, I know firsthand that an HBCU education is so much more than a degree.

It's a legacy.

It's a community.

It's a foundation that teaches us to lead, serve, dream bigger, and never forget the shoulders on which we stand.

From the classrooms of Tallahassee to the halls of government, from the arts to entrepreneurship, from science and technology to public service, HBCU graduates have been changing the world for generations.

And the best part? We've been doing it with style, substance, and a whole lot of school pride!

Two years ago, I remember the disappointment I felt following the 2024 election. But instead of allowing that moment to silence my hope, I continued pouring into my art, my community, and the belief that better days were still possible.

For the past 48 hours, I've been creating from a place of gratitude, reflection, and renewed inspiration.

And this design? This one speaks directly to my Rattler heart.

Because when I think about the generations of HBCU graduates who fought for opportunity, broke barriers, built communities, and opened doors for those coming behind them, I can't help but celebrate how far we've come.

We didn't just attend HBCUs. We carry their legacy into every room we enter.

Featuring bold white, vintage-inspired typography, this design makes a statement without saying too much.

It's for the proud alumni, the future graduates, the HBCU families, and everyone who understands that Black educational excellence deserves to be celebrated on every stage.

And to my fellow Rattlers?
