In 2014, I picked up a paintbrush for the very first time , not knowing that moment would change everything about my life. What started as a way to process grief became the doorway God used to usher me into purpose, confidence, global impact, and a new understanding of who I was created to be. Art didn’t just save my life… it gave me new life.
It opened my eyes to the world God had promised me. Like literally a world overflowing with color, creativity, faith, and favor---- on the OTHER side of my fear. Whew..... I just had to dig deep, believe in myself, trust my gifts, and let God lead.
This special edition shirt features Jazzman, one of my most iconic expressive portrait pieces , a bold, rhythmic face constructed of dynamic lines, geometric shapes, and soulful color play. Jazzman represents flow, freedom, and the improvisational nature of life: how God can take our broken pieces, rearrange them, and turn them into something harmoniously beautiful.
This is part of a short-run series highlighting some of my favorite artworks that shaped my evolution as an artist and as a woman walking boldly in her calling. Once these are gone, they may not return in this format , making each one a true collector’s piece.
