In 2014, I picked up a paintbrush for the very first time , not knowing that moment would change everything about my life. What started as a way to process grief became the doorway God used to usher me into purpose, confidence, global impact, and a new understanding of who I was created to be. Art didn’t just save my life… it gave me new life.
It opened my eyes to the world God had promised me. Like literally a world overflowing with color, creativity, faith, and favor---- on the OTHER side of my fear. Whew..... I just had to dig deep, believe in myself, trust my gifts, and let God lead.
This special edition shirt features Junkanoo Jefe, one of my most joy-filled and culturally rooted art characters . He is a celebration of movement, rhythm, identity, and the spirit of the islands. He represents resilience, celebration, and living life out loud… all things that mirror my journey. Just call me Bahama Mammmaaaa lol.
