“My Governor Is Black. My Mayor Is Too.” is a bold celebration of representation, civic engagement, and the power of seeing leaders who reflect the communities they serve.

Inspired by the energy surrounding the November 3, 2026 elections, this design honors the people who never stopped believing in the power of their voices, their votes, and their communities.

Two years ago, I remember feeling exhausted by the political landscape. But even in moments of disappointment, I knew that our stories were still being written and that our work was far from finished.

Now, I'm channeling that renewed hope into art.

As an Atlanta-area artist, this design is especially personal. It's about the pride of living in a community where Black leadership has helped shape our history, our culture, and our vision for the future.

It's about honoring those who paved the way, celebrating those who step forward, and reminding the next generation that leadership and possibility belong to them, too.

Because representation isn't just something we talk about. It's something we celebrate, protect, and proudly wear.
